Yes you heard that right, a choreographer from Norway was flown into the country to train Kangana Ranaut for her song ‘Bloody Hell’ in Rangoon.
Vishal Bharadwaj had specially asked Norway-based choreographer, Sudesh Adhana, to show the ropes to Kangana for her song Bloody Hell.
The ace filmmaker shared, “Sudesh is not just a choreographer but also a lecturer in modern dance. We collaborated on an opera, A Flowering Tree, in Paris, which I directed and he choreographed. Then, we joined hands for Haider’s ‘Bismil’ which bagged him a national award. He is an unusual personality. This song is from a film within the film and Kangana worked really hard to get the dance form right.”
Right now, Vishal Bharadwaj is busy with the post production of Rangoon, which is produced by ace producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
Kangana plays a diva from the 40’s era and the talented actress has really worked hard throughout November and had perfected her dance moves when they shot the song in December.
Bloody Hell is indeed special as even legendary lyricist Gulzar had given 7-8 options for the song and then the song was crystallized.
Vishal Bharadwaj also shared that “normally it take 10-15 days to finalize a song but for Rangoon it has taken two months to lock each songs for the film.”
Rangoon is an upcoming Bollywood period romance drama set during World War II, which has Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
Helmed by national award winner Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is scheduled for release on February 24, 2017.
