It was just about a year back that actress Kangana Ranaut had appeared in Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ and stirred up a storm by calling him the “snooty flag-bearer of nepotism” on his own show.
What is more, the spat escalated into an even deeper battle of the sexes with Karan lashing out at her and hinting that she may not have understood the meaning of the word ‘nepotism’ at all and that she should stop playing the woman and victim cards and consider quitting Bollywood if she has a problem with how the film industry functioned.
But all that seems to be in the past as the duo will not only set their differences aside and will once again reunite on Karan’s upcoming talent hunt show ‘India’s Next Superstar.’
Though the actress will appear just as a guest judge on the show, the fact remains that the show is judged by filmmakers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty.
Further, the shoot is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 11 and Kangana in a recent interview has said that she is “looking forward to being on the show” and that it is delightful that Karan is “okay” with doing the show with her.
While Kangana also made it clear that the shoot is a “professional commitment” for which she is “being paid.” She added that Karan seems to be slowly “warming up” to her.
Kangana in past had made it clear that she was only playing the ‘badass’ card and she is “not fighting Karan Johar” but “male chauvinism” that prevails in the industry and that it was highly recommended for all outsiders like her.
She also added that she is a “self-made actress,” which is precisely why the channel wants her that she “has not gone back” on her ideology.
