Awards are presented to people to give recognition to their achievements that they have acquired over their lifetime. However, it can turn into a controversial situation when the right award is presented to a wrong person. Apparently, a similar situation happened during the award ceremony of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that recently took place in Karachi where cricketers were honored for their achievements in domestic and international cricket in the 2017-18 season.

PCB presented the left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman with the special award for his outstanding performance in the international cricket. He recently became the first Pakistani cricketer to score a double century in the One Day International Cricket. Moreover, Pakistan’s captain, Sarfraz Ahmed was presented with the Imtiaz Ahmed Spirit Award by PCB and a cash prize of PKR 1 million.

But what took the social media by surprise was the award presented to cricketer Kamran Akmal by the PCB. Apparently, Pakistan’s Akmal brothers – Kamran and Umar have been quite popular on the social media and unfortunately not for the right reasons. Kamran has a long history of being mocked by the netizens for his ridiculous public statements.

Incidentally, Kamran Akmal became the butt of jokes yet again when the PCB awarded him with the ‘Best Wicket-keeper Award’ in the domestic cricket. By winning this award, Kamran Akmal has left the netizens in splits.

Take a look at few of the troll comments on the same:

Are you kidding me?

Like really?

Indeed it is not right!

Now that’s the question!

Well, this is the best!

Among other awards that were given to cricketers, Muhammad Abbas won the Best Test Bowlers Award and Hasan Ali won the award for Best ODI Bowler.
