Kamal Haasan and Aamir Khan belong to the league of most hardworking and dedicated actors. Not only have they worked in acclaimed movies but they have also been quite vocal about issues in their industries and the society. Sadly, conflicts come unannounced.
At the trailer launch of his television debut Big Boss, Kamal Haasan was asked why he chose to do a show like Bigg Boss over Satyamev Jayate which addressed relevant social issues. He replied to the question without mincing words,
AdvertisementI have been more socially responsible than the person who did the show.
Maybe it is just a statement, but it is indicative of an old riff between these superstars. In 2013, Haasan’s film ‘Vishwaropooram’ was banned by the censor board, and Aamir Khan did not speak against the ban. However, he later apologized publically saying:
I feel bad that we weren’t there with you. Banning a film is not right.
What provoked Kamal Haasan to establish his superiority over Aamir and discard his work towards the society is unknown. We can only assume that the above mentioned reason might have influenced his stance.
