Days after the Imam of Kolkata’s Tipu Sultan Mosque issed a fatwa against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee has now addressed the PM using foul language.

At a protest rally outside the RBI regional headquarters in Kolkata, Banerjee – in a raucous voice – challenged PM Modi calling him a rodent.

“Modi’s supporters call him a lion. But I say in the force of the agitation from West Bengal Modi will have to return to his hole in Gujarat like a (referring to a rodent),” Banerjee said.

That an MP addressed the Prime Minister of the country in such a derogatory manner shows culture, courtesy and etiquettes are dead in Bengal.

What is even more shocking is that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, too, used the same word for the BJP leaders in the Centre.

The state which prided itself as the land of Bhadraloks (the elite gentlemen) who know how to behave can now easily be called the land of Abhadraloks (the unruly) thanks to MPs such as Kalyan Banerjee and the Chief Minister herself.
