Over the time, Bollywood actress Kajol has made us fall in love with her with her brilliant acting skills and beautiful charm. And now, Kajol is all set to make a comeback on the silver screen with her latest film Helicopter Eela, directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The trailer of the film is already creating a lot of buzz in the Tinseltown, as the actress is on a promotional spree with the team of her film. In the trailer, Kajol is seen as an over-protective mother to a teenage boy who is dealing with the ups and downs of their relationship.

Apparently, the Dilwale actress appeared on the popular television talk show Aap Ki Adalat in which she spilled the beans on many of her personal and professional secrets. From her relationship with Karan Johar to her marriage with Ajay Devgn, Kajol proudly revealed her exclusive secrets on the show.

However, while talking to the show host, Kajol revealed the most unexpected detail from her childhood. While reminiscing about her childhood memories, Kajol shared that her father Shomu Mukherjee wanted to name her ‘Mercedes’.

Yes! You read that right! Interestingly, her father loved the name of the popular car brand, and he came to know about a fascinating fact about the brand owner. Apparently, Mercedes’ owner Emil Jellinek named the first modern car after her daughter Mercedes Jellinek’s name.

Knowing this, Kajol’s father Shomu Mukherjee, who is a renowned Bengali filmmaker, wanted to name her daughter Mercedes. During the interview, Kajol said:

“My dad actually wanted to name me ‘Mercedes’. He loved the name Mercedes. The owner of Mercedes, the car-manufacturing company, named his company after his daughter. So my father always thought if he can name his daughter Mercedes, why can’t I.”

Surprisingly, this incident caused a clash of thoughts between her father and mother Tanuja Mukherjee because she didn’t agree to the name. Adding to her statement, Kajol said:

“My mom and dad had quite a fight on this. But my mom told him that it was not going to happen!”

Amusingly, the actress also revealed she was “the devil in disguise” for her father as he used to sing her a song. And the lines of the song read, “You look like an angel, you walk like an angel, you talk like an angel… but you’re the devil in disguise.”
