Comedian, actor and dialogue writer Kader Khan has retired from movies and is now living in Canada.
Recently, few wheel-chair bound photographs of him hit the social media which has disappointed his fans across the globe. In one of the pictures, Khan is seen sitting on a wheelchair while his son pushes it from behind.
Khan’s elder son, Sarfaraz, told an entertainment portal that the actor has been unable to walk after his knee surgery and finds it difficult to speak.
It was believed that a knee surgery that Khan underwent had gone bad. However, his son clarified the doubts and revealed:
“The surgery did not go wrong. It was just that my father refused to get up after the surgery. We were told that he has to make an effort and try to start walking from the next day. He just didn’t do that.”
He is currently living in Canada and is happy. His health is, however, frail. The legend’s daughter-in-law said:
“He talks with difficulty, understands only husband and me, but recognises everyone. He is happy and cheerful. My kids Saima, Hamza and I treat him like a baby.”
Sarfaraz added that the Raja Babu actor is otherwise happy and perfectly fine. He moved to Canada for the necessary medical treatment and is quite relieved. He mentioned:
“My father is a Canadian citizen and he is being well-looked after in Canada. Insha Allah, we will definitely come for few days but I don’t think that he will do any films hereafter. He was quite disillusioned with the industry and took a step back long ago.”
Khan has acted in more than 300 Bollywood movies after making his debut in the movie “Daag” in 1973.
