While Aishwarya Rai is doing great when it comes to her career in Bollywood films and glamor world, Abhishek Bachchan hasn’t been able to do very well as far as his acting career is concerned. He was last seen in ‘Housefull 3’ back in 2016 and prior to that in ‘Happy New Year’ in 2014. But the fact that his career in Bollywood looks almost finished cannot be denied.
The actor will soon be seen in ‘Manmarziyaan’, along with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Meanwhile, buzz also has it that Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen sharing the screen with his beauty queen wife after 8 long years.
While the films could prove to be a turning point for Abhishek Bachchan, he has also recently done something that could prove to be a major setback to his already sinking Bollywood career. Abhishek Bachchan has stepped out of JP Dutta’s war drama ‘Paltan’.
Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan commenced his Bollywood career 18 years ago with ‘Refugee’ that was also made by JP Dutta. Following his debut, the actor and the filmmaker have worked together in ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’.
Surprisingly, Abhishek Bachchan backed out of JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’ only two days before the shooting of the film was to kick-off. And as this happened, the industry, as well as the fans, were curious to know the reason.
Buzz had it that Abhishek felt his screen-time was less than that of his co-star Sonu Sood and this was unacceptable to him. JP Dutta tried to convince him that his role was more powerful than Sonu’s but Abhishek was inconvincible.
When asked about Abhishek Bachchan’s withdrawal from ‘Paltan’, filmmaker JP Dutta told media to go and speak to the Bachchans and let him know because he himself did not know the actual reason.
According to the grapevine, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai exercise a major control over Abhishek’s acting career. This led to many scripts getting rejected without even reaching Abhishek. And after what JP Dutta has said publicly about the “Bachchan family”, media is speculating whether Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan could be responsible for Abhishek Bachchan’s sinking Bollywood career!
