Ahead of India-West Indies Test series, ‘Men in Blue’ got support from one of the most unlikeliest of people – WWE Superstar John Cena.
Cena, on July 20, posted not one but two photographs with the message “Bleed Blue”.
Just like Virat, Cena too is a well known name in India and his chant “You Can’t See Me” is known by every WWE fan.
But, belonging to a country (USA) which doesn’t even have a known Cricket team, a picture of Virat Kohli with words ‘Bleed Blue’ came as a surprise to many.
While the post sent Virat and Cena fans alike into a frenzy it’s still not clear if Cena was actually cheering for team India, or was this just another promotional post.
This would not be for the first time that an international sports star has posted their support for Team India.
In 2014, just ahead of the Inaugural season of IPTL, Tennis superstar Roger Federer too had posted a picture of himself holding the Indian jersey.
Later that year Roger had even visited India and played a exhibition match in Delhi for IPTL’s Indian Aces team.
