Mukesh Ambani challenged the leading telecom companies when he launched Reliance Jio. The completely free services of Reliance Jio made it hit among the people. Other telecom companies started manipulating their plans to keep their customers intact.
After giving their services for free for about 9 months as the Happy New Year Offer, Reliance Jio then asked their customers to register their number under Jio Prime subscription in which they need to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 99 for availing the Prime offer for an entire year.
With the Prime subscription, Jio customers can then enjoy the same Happy New Year offer at a price of just Rs. 303 per month, and even get more data (2GB/day) at around Rs. 499 per month.
But have you ever wondered what will happen to your JIO SIM if you don’t subscribe to Jio Prime before 31st March?
If you do not register your SIM under Jio Prime Offer then you will get access to Jio’s non-prime plans that the company has launched in January 2017. These plans are way different and pricey than the Jio Prime plans.
But if you’re getting your SIM registered for the Jio Prime Offer then you should keep these things in mind to avoid losing your subscription.
- If you don’t recharge with a plan for 30 days in a row, Jio might suspend or deactivate your SIM card.
- If you do not use your SIM card for 90 days in a row, TRAI will discontinue the signals on your card.
Just a few days are left for you to choose, whether you want to continue with Reliance Jio or not. It’s all up to you. But if your area gives a better coverage then you should register your SIM. Jio might not be giving free services anymore but Jio Prime is definitely offering calls and data at the cheapest rates.
