India’s Jhulan Goswami Inspired Pakistan’s Kainat Imtiaz To Become A Cricketer

Published on 4 July, 2017 at 5:00 pm By

There’s no denying that India and Pakistan are arch-enemies. It’s a fact that this rivalry is never going to end. Cricket is no less than a religion in India and losing a match to Pakistan is completely not acceptable. When Pakistan defeated India and took the ICC Champions Trophy home, cricket lovers had sleepless nights till Indian women cricketers took revenge.

The Indian women cricket team defeated Pakistan and won the ICC World Cup by 95 runs. This furthered the legacy of never losing to Pakistan. The whole nation praised the girls for showing phenomenal team spirit on the field and keeping India’s pride.

No matter how much the fans of both teams abuse each other and curse each other’s teams but the players keep the rivalry only to the field. Dhoni getting a picture clicked with Sarfaraz Ahmed’s kid, Kohli gifting his bat to Mohammed Amir before last year’s World T20 match, or the boys having a good laugh after losing the final match to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy, are all proof that for the players, cricket is way above boundaries. They too treat each other as enemies on the field but they also respect each other.

Here’s what she wrote in her post:

Let me share a story with you all.
In 2005 i saw the Indian team for the 1st time as the Asia cup was held in Pakistan. I was the ball picker during the tornament… I saw @jhulangoswami. The fastest bowler of that time. I was so impressed that i chose cricket as a career. Specificly fast bowling. 😍
Its a proud moment for me as after 12 years today in 2017 i am playing this ODI World Cup with one of my inspirations and getting more inspired……. 😍❤
