Bollywood’s iconic star, Sridevi took her last breath in Dubai. She was in Dubai to attend her nephew, Mohit Marwah’s wedding. After the wedding, Boney Kapoor along with their youngest daughter Khushi left for Mumbai but Sridevi stayed there to spend some time with her sister Srilatha. Sadly, the actress lost her balance in the bathroom, fell into the bathtub, and drowned to death.
According to the sources, when Karan Johar came to know about this news he rushed to Sridevi’s residence to support the actress’ daughters. When Jhanvi came to know about this news, she collapsed and couldn’t hold her tears. Sridevi was a dedicated actor and a caring mother. Talking about the break she took from the industry, she once expressed that she always wanted to give her hundred percent to what she does. She wanted to give her fullest while taking up the responsibilities of a mother. She raised her daughters like a protective mother and shared a bond with them like a best friend. Jhanvi will soon be seen in Karan Johar’s film ‘Dhadak’ and Sridevi was super excited to see her on the screen. Sadly, this couldn’t happen.
Sridevi was her daughters’ support system. According to Boney Kapoor’s heartfelt letter, “Sridevi was the axis around which their family ran.” And when the news of her death became viral, an editor of a leading daily shared an open letter that Jhanvi once wrote to her mother and it clearly reflects the relationship Sridevi had with her daughters.
Here’s what Jhanvi wrote:
Growing up hearing about your aura, dedication, sincerity and inspirational grit to be the best and achieve the most always made me wish I was present to witness it all. Through all that you have done in your life, you have made me the proudest daughter in the world, and I love you the most.Advertisement
Your daughter, Janhvi
No one can understand the situation these two girls are going through. There was a lot that Sridevi wanted to see her daughters do. Hope they make their mum proud soon.
