The 88-year-old Thumri queen Girija Devi passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. Condolence wishes poured in paying tribute to the gem of our nation. Javed Akhtar, too, was among those who expressed their sorrow on Twitter on Girija Devi’s death. Unfortunately, the lyricist forgot to turn off his phone’s auto-correct function and this little negligence got him in a big trouble. Javed Akhtar’s heartfelt tweet resulted in a disaster he would never have imagined. The mistake caused a sudden outrage among Twitterati and people slammed and trolled him for posting such tweet.
Javed Akhtar has now deleted the tweet but the screenshot of the same is still being circulated on the internet. Here’s what Javed Akhtar tweeted:
People soon targeted the scriptwriter and trolled him with hilarious memes and tweets. Many even expressed their anger and dragged Akhtar’s son Farhan in the conversation.
Jawed Akhtar is not only a great strip writer but also a national terror. We are poorer we doubt her. https://t.co/PL0rVURzNJ

Following the outrage, Akhtar even apologized for making such big mistake. Here’s what he said:
My profuse apologies. While expressing my grief at the demise of the great Girija Devi autocorrect misspelled the word SINGER .Pls ignore it
