Anshu Jamsenpa from Arunachal Pradesh created history after successfully climbing Mount Everest twice in five days.
On Sunday, the brave mountaineer unfurled the Indian tricolor on the mountain’s crest at 7.45 am. She had earlier done the same on May 16 at 9 am.
With this feat, she has become the first to climb the highest mountain peak in the world twice in a single season clocking a total of 118 hours and 15 minutes.
Jamsenpa is now the first Indian woman to climb Everest five times in a record time before this feat.
On May 16, she had become the first Indian woman to scale Everest for the fourth time. Dalai Lama had flagged off Jamsenpa’s historic journey from Guwahati on May 2.
