We often hear of incidents of terror in the valley of Kashmir, but this act of generosity by the Jammu and Kashmir police department once again makes us feel that no matter how bad terror makes the situation, with good humans around, attempts to restore and spread peace can still be made.
Extending their helping hand to the needy, the Jammu and Kashmir police has joined hands with Uday Foundation and donated items of basic necessity this Ramzan.

Daily News & Analysis reports that under the campaign, on directions from the Director General of Police, S.P. Vaid and Inspector General, Munir Ahmad Khan, clothes were distributed among patients of leprosy and children in orphanages in Lal Bazar this Monday.

Other items of basic need were distributed among the destitute in Pulwama by Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Aslam.
The police now plans to extend the campaign to other areas in the valley and make it a regular feature.
