By now, there have been several copy-paste incidents in the Bollywood industry. Don’t gimme that “I can’t stomach it” kinda face. It is true! There have been times when Bollywood has fed us with the copied avatars of the original versions. Remember PK?. Apart from Aamir Khan’s bold avatar, a lot was being said about the poster itself. Like, the poster was a copied version of Quim Barreiros’s album cover poster. Oh, and how can I forget, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? There were headlines which suggested that its poster was also a copied version of the Hollywood film Lords of Dogtown. And, it seems that this legacy is continued since Mahesh Bhatt’s recent Jalebi poster is copied too.

For those who didn’t know, the poster of Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Jalebi is out. An otherwise sweet looking poster caught my attention because it seemed copied.

How? You ask? Well, take a look at the original picture on the right, and at the copied version on the left:

Now, apparently, this picture on the right dates back to the time of 1950’s Korean War. Clicked by Frank Q Brown the picture perfectly depicts the farewell between a soldier Robert Maye and his wife Gloria. Apparently, when he was leaving for the Korean War.

Recently, veteran director Mahesh Bhatt shared the first look of his upcoming flick Jalebi (under Vishesh Films) via his official Twitter handle:

Interestingly, it didn’t take much time for Twitterati to figure out that the Jalebi poster is copied, see what they had to say regarding the same:
