Jaaved Jaaferi Tweets About UP Govt’s Plan To Sell Cow Urine As Health Drink, Twitterati Asks Was It A Dig Or He Supports It

Bollywood actor Jaaved Jaaferi is away from the silver screen since quite a long time now. As far as Bollywood films are concerned, he was last seen in 2014 in ‘Bang Bang’. This year, he will be seen in ‘Total Dhamaal’, the third film in ‘Dhamaal’ series. Away from mainstream cinema all this while, he has been in touch with his fans on social media and often grabs media and people’s attention with his tweets. And he did it yet again with one of his recent tweets.




Sharing a report published by The Times of India about Uttar Pradesh government getting ready to sell packaged bottles of cow urine as health drink, he took a dig at the tagline of Pepsi. According to the report, a government ayurvedic pharmacy that presently supplies ayurvedic medicines to government centers in 16 districts of the state has prepared a proposal to collect, process and sell packaged bottles of cow urine as health drink.

According to Dr. Prakash Chandra Saxena, principal and superintendent of Government Ayurveda College and Hospital, Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, the organization will promote cow urine as health giving drink. He also said that drinking 10 ml to 20 ml cow urine daily can prevent against seasonal ailments like cough, fever and stomach related problems.
