G-20 Summit appears to be a family affair for US President Donald Trump because instead of him, it was his daughter Ivanka Trump who attended a key part of the summit.
Ivanka briefly attended an important meeting while her father left to greet other world leaders. Ivanka, who is 35 years old, was previously also seen attending meetings and conferences along with him but this was different matter and was criticized.
Based on Ivanka Trump example, I’m going to ask Speaker Ryan if my son can sit in for me at the next House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing https://t.co/ZbApdkYixL

G-20 summit is an event in which 20 nations of the world participate of it. The respective leaders meet to discuss prevalent issues concerning environment and the society.
This moment is a reflection of the expansive influence of Ivanka under her father’s administration. She was applauded and criticised for the same event. She was criticised on behalf of her father since he has failed to understand democratic protocols.
Ivanka helped her father to launch a loan programme on women. She discussed women oriented issues in one of her signature policy areas. Also, she was the owner of apparel and jewellery line before officially taking the job as assistant to President in the White House.
She has helped her father on issues such as paid parental leave, child care and female empowerment, but has done little to moderate her father’s nationalistic policies.
Defending Ivanka, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is the host leader of the G-20 in Hamburg said, “She was part and parcel of the American delegation so that is something that other delegations also do. It’s very well known that she works at the White House and is also engaged in certain initiatives.”
Earlier in the day, Ivanka Trump took part in a World Bank event on a fund for women entrepreneurs that she is actively involved in. The president praised her work on the fund at the event.
In a statement addressing concerns about her role as the president’s adviser, she said:
“I have heard the concerns some have with my advising the President in my personal capacity while voluntarily complying with all ethics rules, and I will instead serve as an unpaid employee in the White House Office, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees. Throughout this process I have been working closely and in good faith with the White House counsel and my personal counsel to address the unprecedented nature of my role.”
President Trump took the opportunity to praise his eldest daughter, saying, “I’m very proud of my daughter Ivanka, always have been from day one.” He offered a rare, self-deprecating assessment of the challenges he has added to her life. “If she weren’t my daughter, it would be so much easier for her,” he said.
