ISRO’s GSLV Mk III D1, which is also being called the “Baahubali’ of rockets, has carved a niche for itself in space world.
The on board launching camera on the satellite had sent in a selfie from outer space and has also sent in a video. The rocket is equipped with a high resolution camera which has been sending clear images from outer space.
On Monday, ISRO attached another feather to its cap when it successfully established the satellite in its orbit. The satellite weight is equivalent to about 200 adult elephants.
This is the second time an Indian satellite has sent a selfie. Earlier this year, the PSLV-37 Cartosat-2 satellite also sent similar images. That satellite had successfully launched 104 satellites into orbit and became the first in the world to do so.
