All of us love to spend our holidays in the best hotels that offer all the luxuries that would make a vacation memorable. But one thing that strikes our brains first when we think of a luxury hotel is the staggering cost it would involve! Rooms in all good hotels across the world charge such a whopping price for their rooms that it takes years of savings for a common man to be able to afford spending a few days there.
But this is not the case with this hotel who waives off the bill of some special guests under a scheme. In fact, this hotel even pays its guest a huge prize for spending there holiday here. But this is only for some special guests who fulfill some conditions.
Hotel Yehuda of Jerusalem gives its selected guests prizes worth $99,300 (or Rs 67 lakh ) under an offer in leap year. As per the offer, the first two couples who conceive a child while staying in their hotel on February 29 win a free “package”.
Under this “package”, the hotel is liable to pay for (or host for free), three ceremonies each for the two couples. These ceremonies are – a free bris, bar or bat mitzvah, and wedding, the first two being Jews’ traditional ceremonies.
But why did the hotel chose leap year for the offer? Because Leap Year in Hebrew means “Pregnant Year”. So the idea is, those who get pregnant while staying in the hotel on February 29 will be rewarded. The first two couples who meet the terms with proper certification and prove that the pregnancy actually happened on February 29 will be declared as the winners.
This is a big marketing gimmick by the hotel that has paid of handsomely so far since the hotel witnessed 50 per cent more bookings on Leap Day! And why not? After all, its a lucrative offer! Isn’t it? Do share your thoughts with us in the comments!
