The Muslim holy month of Ramadan is going on and most of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims are observing it. On June 11, Shab-e-Qadar, the holiest day of Ramadan was observed. Muslims celebrated the day and offered prayers as per rituals. On this occasion, a big religious gathering was held at Jamia Masjid of Srinagar. On this special night, tens of thousands of devotees, from all parts of the state gathered at the mosque and participated in the prayers that continued throughout the night.
While there was the spirit of devotion and prayers inside the Jamia Mosque, something absolutely shocking and hideous was reported happening outside it. This was brought to popular attention by journalist Aditya Raj Kaul.
In a tweet, Kaul mentioned that on Shab-e-Qadar, ISIS flags were waved and slogans in praise of terrorist Sajad Gilkar were chanted outside the Jamia Masjid. Take a look at Aditya Raj Kaul’s tweet below:
Horrific video outside Jamia Masjid, Srinagar last night during Shab-e-Qadar, holiest day of Ramzan for Muslims. ISIS flags waved. Slogans chanted in praise of terrorist Sajad Gilkar who was part of the mob which lynched J&K Police DySP Mohd. Ayyub Pandit. No ISIS in #Kashmir? pic.twitter.com/o27E1q3SBq

Sajid Gilkar, whose name is being chanted in the video above was one of the terrorists killed last year in Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian security forces. As per reports, he had played a key role in the lynching of DSP Ayub Pandit. The incident had sent shockwaves throughout the country. Later, the Jammu and Kashmir police had arrested 20 accused in the case of DSP Ayub Pandit’s lynching.
As expected, the waving of ISIS flag and chanting of slogans remembering terrorist Sajad Gilkar weren’t praised by the public at large. This could be seen on the social media. Twitterati expressed severe anger against the incident. Some of the replies to Aditya Raj Kaul’s video showing the incident can be seen below:

This is so stereo typed and is becoming a joke now in JK. If they have the guts, why do they mask themselves? Some one is surely responsible for instigating acts such as this and one can safely bet that the State and Centre both know, but action plan; ZELCH!

It was same day last year when Lt. Pandit was lynched by murderous peacefuls returning from prayers. What kind of prayers are these after which people turn murderous and kill an unarmed innocent man and then their god is happy with them as he makes them killers. Wowwww
