Almost every kid who was born in the late 1980s or early 1990s grew up with India’s first music channel MTV and absolutely adored the show MTV Most Wanted.

The show which had the simple concept of viewers writing in their music request was much more for its viewers as they not only loved the fact that the show played their favorite music but also loved the fact that it had Shenaz Treasurywala as its host.

Viewers went out of their way to make their mails (yes that era was not that long ago) unique and many times just sent these letters so Shenaz would read them and know who they are (got to love childhood crushes.)

Shenaz’s popularity was as such that she was soon recruited for a Bollywood project and portrayed a stylish college girl in the movie Ishq Vishq which also started Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao.

While Amrita and Shahid from there on went on to do other big budget movies, Shenaz despite her popularity slowly moved away from big Bollywood ventures and went on to do regional movies and other TV shows and devoted her time to writing and travel blogging.

2015 Shenaz once again shot to fame when she sent open letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, actor Amitabh Bachchan (among others) urging them to support the fight against rape and sexual harassment.

While many had almost forgotten about her till then, others who followed her career diligently knew that over the years Shenaz had only grown and had transformed into a beautiful actor and writer.

While many would argue that is what many actors end up doing these days, we would like to point out Shenaz has not become a writer overnight and has actually learned writing and studied film at Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute.

Daughter of a Merchant Navy Captain, Shenaz has traveled the world and is a known lifestyle and travel influencer.

She has also written many travelogues that have featured in different magazines and currently hosts Discovery’s Travel Channel’s show Culture Shock.

Besides writing, she also hosted The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Unforgettable Tour, played lead roles in many Hindi films and was the main character in one of America’s longest-running soap operas, One Life to Live besides being part of many other national and international projects.

Shenaz would soon be seen in the film Kaalakaandi where she stars opposite actor Saif Ali Khan.
