Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Dhadak’ will soon be released. The actors have already wrapped up with the promotional leg of this important project. Both Janhvi and Ishaan have tried to give their best shot in the film, if the film’s trailer is to be considered. This film is indeed significant for the two actors, and for Janhvi it is her big Bollywood debut.

In the last few days, the actors have been talking much about their film. Recently, Ishaan Khattar was interviewed by Bollywood Hungama and he shared extremely precise details on the film.

Ishaan Khatter has admitted being sad about the low response for ‘Dhadak’. Let us tell you that ‘Dhadak’ is a remake of Marathi film ‘Sairat’. Expressing his views about the film, Ishaan recently quoted:

“I am not very adept yet at analyzing box office figures. But yes, the performance of my first film ‘Beyond The Clouds’ was disappointing. We could find any number of reasons for why the film didn’t work. The best advice that I got after the film’s low-key performance was to move on. To me, that film will always remain special.”

Further talking about the film he stated that remakes are usually judged on a different note. Ishaan Khatter added:

“I am aware that remakes are judged harshly. But we haven’t made ‘Dhadak’ to be one – up on ‘Sairat’. We went into the remake out of our collective love and respect for the original. ‘Sairat’ is a film that created history. We can’t even hope to repeat what it has done.”

Ishaan also agreed to the fact that Dhadak is very different from the original film. As the director of the film Shashank chose Rajasthan to be the film’s location, this is something that has created much difference. He also said, that ‘Sairat’ had a very strong message about things that keep happening around us.

However, Ishaan has one strong request for the audience. This is what he has to say:

“Please don’t judge our film against the original. We haven’t made Dhadak to prove we can do it better. I agree there has been criticism about the way we’ve done the ‘Zingaat’ song from Sairat. But there has also been a lot of love from people who are not waiting to judge us unfavourably in comparison with Sairat.”

We hope the audience understands what Ishaan meant to convey and decide only after watching the film.
