Two months back, Irrfan Khan released the first poster of a new social-thriller film, ‘Madaari’, directed by Nishikant Kamat. It’s intense trailer outlines the corruption and negligence of Mumbai police, due to which, a common man ends up in an abyss of suffering.

A few days back, Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ poster was trending and looked very similar to that of ‘Madaari’.
On being asked about it during a promotional event in Mumbai, Irrfan Khan jestingly took a dig at Rajinikanth for copying the poster of his film.
“We are small filmmakers… I saw that Rajinikanthji ki film ne humara poster chori kar liya. You see their film’s poster and our film’s poster. No issues. You watch his film and our film too.”
A perfect marketing strategy? Well, Irrfan, your PR team is way too smart because they kind of misguided you. This is just a fan-made poster and was not released by the official team of ‘Kabali’. The official posters were shared by Rajni Sir himself.

Anyways, indirectly, the film got the hype it needed before its release.
Rajini Sir is like, “Irrfan, thank me later.”
