When it comes to working in Hollywood, Irrfan Khan has a long career to be discussed, he rather maintains his low and avoids excessive propaganda about every small-big work he is doing. He lately discussed his take on how Indian web series market is just not upto-the-mark, if compared to foreign sitcoms on web.

Not many of us know but Irrfan is currently venturing into a Japanese web series. Speaking to Mid Day, the actor revealed, “They are neither passionate nor have the understanding of a good story. On a more serious note he said, “Humare paas web series banane ke liye talent nahin hai (We don’t have the talent to make a web series); it’s the bitter truth.” Adding further he quoted, “”Earlier, directors used to think of ways to break into Hollywood. Today, one can sit in India and make a world class product. But we are taking it lightly by making stupid comedies. I doubt if we will be able to cash in on the digital platform.”

Irrfan’s latest web series ‘Tokyo Trial’ is a historic drama that focuses on major events which took place in Pacific post World War 2.
