351 players took part in the IPL 2017 auction, held in Bangalore. There were 122 international players, and 6 from associate nations i.e. 1 from UAE and 5 from Afghanistan. The number was initially huge i.e. 799, but, was later reduced.
England’s all-rounder, Ben Stokes, was sold as the most expensive player at the auction. He was bought by Rising Pune Supergiants for Rs 14.50 crores.
