While India Celebrated Independence Day, Someone Smeared Ink On Bose’s Statue In Birbhum

India celebrated its 71st Independence Day yesterday. All the governmental and educational institutions in the country marked the day by hoisting the tricolor and remembering the brave freedom fighters.

However, outside the Block Development Office in Birbhum, some miscreants smeared black ink over Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue.

The photograph has gone viral on social media after one person posted the picture on Twitter.

Bengal is famous for its love of Netaji. It is saddening and surprising to see a thing like this happen in a place he once called home.
