The internet is an amazing place. All it takes is one video to make you an overnight star. You don’t need to be a singer or a comedian, all you need is swag. After Dhinchak Pooja, rapper Om Prakash Mishra is the new internet sensation. The guy calls himself an aspiring Indian rap artist who goes by the name of “Rap King” on YouTube. His song ‘Aunty Ki Ghanti’, which released on December 31, 2015, has recently become a cult status. The song is about a guy’s wish to have sexual relations with an older woman.
This cringe-pop number has got more than 3,700, 000 views on YouTube.
His song “Bol na aunty, aaun kya?” (Tell me, aunty, should I come?) has distasteful lyrics as the singer slut-shames the older woman when she does not consider him worthy enough to share her bed.
His original video has been removed from YouTube. But shockingly, there are people who are defending Om Prakash Mishra’s song and bashing those who think that it glorifies rape culture.
In fact, people are going really mad about him. Hundreds of people gathered in Connaught Place, just to scream “Bol Na Aunty Aaun Kya” in a chorus. How stupid one can be?
Not only this, people are organizing the chorus in Mumbai, Nagpur, and Bangalore, too.
It may surprise you that this guy has a history with the ‘Indian Idol’. Yup, he tried his luck there and obviously failed. But here too, he didn’t fail to amuse the judges, especially Anu Malik.
