Pakistan media has reported that the Pakistan’s Joint Investigating Team (JIT), that arrived in India to probe Pathankot attacks, was actually now convinced that the encounter had been stage-managed by Indian authorities.
A report of ‘Pakistan Today’, which quoted a JIT official, said that NIA failed to convince Pakistan with the evidences.
The anonymous JIT member told the media house that the Pathankot attack was nothing but “vicious propaganda” against Pakistan as Indian authorities did not have any evidence to back their claims.
The JIT official also talked about the brutal murder of NIA officer Tanzil Ahmad and alleged conspiracy behind the gruesome incident.
“The brutal murder of a Muslim investigator is evidence that the Indian establishment wants to keep the matter under wraps,” said the JIT official in the report.
The JIT member also told ‘Pakistan Today’ that the Pathankot encounter had ended within hours but the Indian authorities staged a three-day drama to get maximum attention from the world community in order to malign Pakistan.
He also said that Indian agencies failed to establish that the attackers entered from Pakistan.
Pakistani JIT on April 1 concluded its six-day discussions with NIA on the probe into the Pathankot terror attack even as the visiting officials recorded statements of witnesses and collected DNA report of slain terrorists.
The team was given a detailed presentation on the probe conducted so far and it was taken to the crime scene in Pathankot.
The Pakistani JIT has finalised its report and will submit it to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ”in the next few days”.
