Indian doctor Kosanam Ramamurthy, who was recently freed from the terrorist group ISIS, has said that he would never forget the help done by the Indian authorities to get him free from the clutches of the dreaded terrorist group.

Ramamurthy, who hails from Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, was working as a general physician at the Lbn-e-Sina Hospital at Sirte, Libya in 2015 when ISIS militants entered the hospital and kidnapped him, along with three other people.

He was freed as a result of rigorous negotiation done by the Indian government, personally overseen by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. He also thanked PM Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other officials for the help.

He said ISIS is a hardcore terrorist organisation, and they want to spread [their influence] across the world and follow their [organisation’s] rules very strictly.

Ramamurthy further said that the terrorists used to force him to get into operation theatres to operate on their casualties, including the top boss and the health in-charge of the organisation, but he never did any surgery for them.

He said although terrorists did not harm him physically but abused him.

“The ISIS is well informed about India,” he pointed out. As per Kosanam, the terrorist organisation is very impressed by the development in India’s education and healthcare system and is keen on “taking it into its own hands.”

Talking about cruelty in ISIS regime, he said: “ISIS people forced us to watch videos of what they did to Iraq, Syria, Nigeria and other places. It was bit difficult to watch them.”

There were suicide bombers as young as 10 year old, and members beyond the age of 65 too.
