Earlier this week, a famed Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Sameer Ahmed Bhat alias Sameer ‘Tiger’ was gunned down by Indian Army Major Rohit Shukla in an encounter in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Sameer Tiger, who was one of the leading recruiters of Hizbul Mujahideen was seen challenging the same Army officer in a video that had gone viral on social media a day before the encounter. In the video, Bhat could be heard saying:

Tell Shukla (Major Rohit Shukla) that just because the lion has stopped hunting, dogs think that the whole jungle belongs to them, if Shukla has guts then he should come face to face with us.

The braveheart Major Rohit Shukla too was critically injured in the encounter and is now battling for his life in a hospital with some improvement in his condition. But the result of the encounter shows that not Sameer, but Major Rohit Shukla is the real tiger.

The operation that was carried out by a joint team of CRPF and Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir was headed by Major Shukla. Major Shukla had been working on finding out Sameer Tiger’s whereabouts since months and as soon as he got an opportunity, he gunned him down.

But it is not just Sameer Tiger who was put to death by India’s gallant Army officer. He has wiped out a number of other terrorists like Sameer from Jammu and Kashmir. Hailing from Rajputana Rifles, Major Shukla has commanded 40 operations carried out by the Indian Army against terrorists.
