The Lighter Side Of Life In The Indian Army: The Khukuri Dance By A Gorkha Solider

Since India got its independence back in 1947, the Gorkha regiments have been a huge part of the Indian Army. The Gorkhas have been known for their courage in the battleground, which is evident from the amount of gallantry awards that are won by the Gorkha soldiers. While stories of their courage are well known, very few people know about the Gurkha Dance or the Khukuri Dance that are performed by the Gurkha soldiers at ceremonial parades and cultural shows. Here is a glimpse of that lighter side of the Indian Army.
