Indian Air Force always takes in the best. And when people apply to be a part of the best, they have to be the best!
In June 2016, three women officers created history. Avani Chaturvedi, Bhawana Kanth and Mohana Singh were the first women to be inducted in an Indian Air Force Fighter Squadron.
The IAF, with an aim to break gender stereotypes, has rolled out a campaign featuring these three young women pilots. The campaign aims to shatter the the myth about what women can and can’t do.
The video, which is little over a minute long, proudly boasts of the achievements of the women pilots and also sparks a conversation around the preconceived notions that society has about women. It shows that women are not afraid of loud noises, explosions or any other sound, and can conquer the sky as perfectly as their male counterparts.
