Biryani is bae! There is no second guessing that fact. There are very few who have deprived themselves of the deliciousness and we certainly feel sorry for them! Keeping the emotional saga aside, India is a place where you can taste more than 15 varieties of biryani. If that isn’t proof enough for you to understand this country’s love for the dish, then we have some more evidence to present.
Before showering you with the proof that there is no better food, we have an image that perfectly captures the feelings of the biryani lovers!
Why is it India’s ultimate love? Well, recently the restaurant chain Paradise Biryani entered ‘The Limca Book of Records 2019’. Of course, it is because of the number of biryani plates they sold. However, any guesses how many? They served 70, 44,289 plates of deliciousness!
Hyderabad’s Paradise Biryani restaurant chain is super famous for its delicious flavored rice. Between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017, they sold more than 70 lakh plates. That record has now earned them a place in Limca Book of Records.
Thinking this is just a single incident? According to a report by food delivery service, Indians ordered more than 20000 plates of biryani on 31 December 2019.
The love for this food item is such that Muniyandi Swami temple in Madurai district serves biryani as prasad among the devotes. This tradition of serving non-veg biryani is followed for 83 years. Wow!
