Social media is a place filled with all kinds of people. It is a platform where people like, share, comment and connect. What makes social media more impactful is its reach and interactivity. Recently it is being observed that this powerful tool is being misused by people. Yes, we are talking about trolling and body-shaming. Sadly these have now become a trend in India. And, the latest target is Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz.

Things can go out of control especially when you are a public figure. I mean seriously, as a public figure you have to be on pins and needles. One wrong move can make the situation worse. Similarly, when it comes to the glamor world, things are complicated too.

Being a celebrity doesn’t mean that you have to take the bullshit from anyone. And Ileana D’Cruz ‘s recent response to a mean question is a major example of the same.

Recently a fan asked her that if she ever faced any flak for having an awkward body, via ”Ask Me A Question” feature of Instagram. What Ileana did next was simple, striking and to the point! She uploaded a story on her official Instagram account in which she clearly mentioned that there is no such thing as an awkward body type.

“Firstly, I don’t have an ‘awkward’ body type. Nobody does. Secondly, I have been criticised for my body type. But I am trying to learn to love myself for who I am and not try to conform to someone else’s ideals.”
