Late Sridevi was also given a moving tribute at IIFA. Bollywood and millions of her fans were heart-broken with her sudden demise in May.
Veteran actress Rekha’s performance was an epitome of grace, and everyone rated it as a ‘timeless’ one.
And just when you thought that her performance was over, Bollywood’s gen-next superstars joined her on-stage, and called the curtains down.

Amidst all the performances, a moving tribute to late actress Sridevi was the highlight of IIFA awards. India lost its first female superstar, but never left our memories.
During her funeral, Mumbai streets were covered with countless number of mourners and shocked fans.
Despite IIFA awards gesture, one fan, Saba Arif, was left furious and disheartened. It’s not because IIFA didn’t do justice to her favourite star, but instead, copied her tribute from YouTube!
After watching the telecast of IIFA on July 30, Saba noticed IIFA’s tribute looked uncannily similar to hers.
Saba Arif took to Facebook, as social media is the fastest medium these days, and openly accused IIFA of plagiarism. She wrote:
This was Saba Arif’s tribute to the legendary actress and Jahnvi Kapoor‘s late mother, Sridevi:
