Some people don’t believe in destiny, but the truth is whatever we really desire from our heart becomes a part of our destiny. And the story of Anita is a living example of it. To reach our destiny, we always need a messiah and that role was played by an IAS officer, Preeti Goyal.
As a child, Preeti was really fascinated by her neighbor Anita Devi’s story about her lost family. Anita was unfortunately separated from her family at the age of 14 when she got married.
She belonged to the Angami tribe in Nagaland. Her family hailed from Dimapur, and there she met a young army officer from Punjab, Vakil Chand. Both Vakil and Anita fell in love, got married in 1967. After a year, they moved to Lehragaga village, Punjab.
After moving to Punjab, Anita lost in touch with her family after a few years. She also couldn’t remember the village she was born. All she remembered was her father’s name and the cinema hall that was close to her house.
As Preeti grew up, this painful story of Anita remained in her memory. She became an IAS officer in 2013.
Now, she realized that she had all the resources to locate Anita’s family. She started the search in 2015 and after two long years, the first breakthrough came only a month ago when her batchmate in Nagaland located the Angami tribe with the help of an inspector.
The moment she located her family, she arranged for a phone call. After both sides were satisfied, Anita set off to meet them.
When they met, the whole family was in tears. Anita’s parents had passed away but her siblings and their family members welcomed her with open arms.
This story seems like a movie but the plot is true. Preeti has certainly earned the title of female ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
