However, what caused the eruption of people on Twitter is a video shared by the management of the programs, where Mika Singh is featured on the show. In the video, Mika Singh can be heard saying that he is “looking forward” to celebrate the Indian as well as the Pakistani independence days:

It may be recalled that the Uri attack, which happened a year back, triggered new-found apathy between the two countries. The attack also called for a ban on all Pakistani artistes working in India. According to reports furnished by PTI, Indian Americans have condemned the video as well. According to an Indian-American philanthropist Ramesh Shah,
Celebrating Independence Day is for those who believe in India and its freedom and democracy. It can never happen with Pakistan, and not when they are sponsoring and supporting Pakistani terrorist on the Indian soil.
Not new to controversies, Mika Singh is a well-known Bollywood singer, renowned for his playback singing. His last show abroad, in Birmingham in 2016, was a roaring hit.
