Ideally, social media is meant to be a platform where people create and share content and indulge in social networking. One of the best things about social media is that it is a space shared by common people and celebrities. So people can interact with their favorite personality with much ease than they could earlier. Hence, the communication gap between people and popular figures has reduced to a great extent. But with times changing at a great speed, people have started using social media as a medium to shame and troll celebrities for whatever they opine or do.
But then, these celebrities also, on a number of occasions, have made sure that people who troll or slam them publicly for no reason get their fair share in return. Remember how recently Sunny Leone gave an appropriate response to people who judged her character on the basis of her past.
Recently, ‘Badlapur’ actress Huma Qureshi also had to give a strong reply to those who blasted at her, however, her’s was a completely different reason. Huma was trolled on Twitter for complaining about Delhi traffic and suggested a few possible solutions as well. Here is what she had written:
You know you are in #NewDelhi … when u are stuck in traffic for 45 mins when your destination is just 15 mins away in the real world !! 🚗 We need a solution!! better public transport?odd even? taxing people keeping more than one car ?

The request is very well a valid one. Huma might not be using public transport for commuting, but this certainly does not make her problem with traffic null and void.
Moreover, in her tweet, she had also suggested taxing people having more than one cars. But since she is a celebrity, she is more vulnerable to criticism than a common person. Here is how Twitterati retorted to her tweet:
With all due respect, when was the last time you used local transport buses or probably pooled in to your destination?! It’s extremely convenient to comfortably sit in your AC car and pass on such tweets!

Drop your car…n start walking…..rather than giving gyan on traffic

Then why flaunt your money buying expensive cars? Start promoting local transportation. Lead by example

But Huma decided not to take them and gave a befitting reply to all those who had criticized her for not using public transport. Have a look at what she wrote:
I am also urging the govt to start taxing car users with more than one car in order to dissuade the high no. of cars on the road .. and improve public transport https://t.co/f1fptAwGvG

A perfect reply! Isn’t it? It is a well established fact that the traffic situation on roads of Delhi is indeed a difficult one and needs immediate public attention. And when Huma, as a celebrity, was trying to draw public attention towards it gets blamed by Twitterati for wrong reasons, a reply from her was a must!
