Much has happened in the past few days in India, women are now speaking up more than ever against sexual harassment. A number of high profile women have now spoken up, mostly from the entertainment industry and media. Women are posting horrific details of incidents online, about getting raped, assaulted and harassed. The number of incidents in the last few days has left the country shocked. One strong allegation was put against film director Vikas Bahl by two women including actress Kangana Ranaut. Vikas Bahl, who is currently directing Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Super 30’ is now in discussion.
Though Hrithik Roshan remains mum on many issues, maybe since his own film’s director is involved, this may have forced him to speak up on the issue. For the first time, Hrithik has moved out of his comfort zone and given an important statement.
After the allegations of sexual harassment against Bahl, Hrithik Roshan spoke his heart out!
In a statement, Hrithik Roshan has broken his silence on the issue and said:
“It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of ‘Super 30’ to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be.”
He stated further:
“This is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up.”
Let us tell you that Phantom Films has now been dissolved just when HuffPost published a detailed article on the series of incidents described by the former employee (the victim); the production house failed to take any action against Behl.
