After months of speculations and rumors about the lead actor for Vikas Behl’s ‘Super 30’, Hrithik Roshan has been finally signed for the new film. In a career spanning over two decades, Hrithik has played many characters onscreen, including Mughal ruler Akbar in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s superhit film ‘Jodha Akbar’. However, this will be the first time Hrithik will be featuring in a biopic that revolves around the life of mathematician Anand Kumar.

Anand Kumar, a known personality in academics, is regarded as a wizard in the world of mathematics. He is the person behind the famed Super 30 program for IIT aspirants in Patna, which primarily caters to the underprivileged children who aspires to crack the IIT-JEE.

Kumar’s desire to coach underprivileged children for IIT began in 2002. And even fifteen years hence, he is still relentlessly going about his job, preparing IIT aspirants for a bright future.

Directed by Vikas Behl, this film outlines Anand’s journey, focusing more on his Super 30 program that brought him fame across the country.

Although the movie was announced with Hrithik in the lead a few months ago, reports of the superstar walking out of it soon started taking rounds. However, now his fans can have a moment of respite as he has been finally signed for the film, which will go on the floors soon.

While most of Hrithik’s fans are extremely eager to see Hrithik playing Anand Kumar in this movie, we think we have a better alternative to him. And that is none other than Pankaj Tripathy!

The critically acclaimed actor, who is famous for acting in films like ‘Masaan’, ‘Newton’, ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ and both the parts of ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, has an uncanny resemblance to the maverick mathematician. The resemblance is so striking that we think Tripathy will be just perfect for the role.

Furthermore, taking in consideration Tripathy’s acting skills, we are pretty sure that Tripathy’s portrayal of Anand Kumar would have been just perfect. But alas! that is not to be.

Meanwhile, in August, Anand had posted some of the images of his meeting with Hrithik at the latter’s residence on Facebook and applauded the honor bestowed by Hrithik on him:
