Composition simply means that a photo should have all the objects within it in a way it fulfills the goal of the photograph. It should be guiding the viewer’s eye towards the most important elements of your work.

Here is an example of great composition:

A cloudy sky, a silent sea, a broken tree. and a happy face.

2. A photo should tell a story.

Some photos may not have an interesting background and the happiest faces, but they should narrate a story that is moving or may be a story that people can relate to.

3. But at the same time, it should arouse some curiosity.

Can you guess what this adorable, innocent kitten is up to?

 4. It is important to find and create uniqueness in a familiar situation.

A sunset is a common thing, but seeing through the eyes of a flower is rare. Right?

Lighting is the most important technical aspect of any photograph. Cameras, lenses, etc are completely irrelevant unless you have good light to make a good photo.

A great lighting can turn a mundane scene into something surreal.

Thus, it is advised that any motion portrayed in a photograph should flow from left to right.

7. There should always be some negative (empty) space in your photo.

Though it is important to have all the elements in your photo, an empty space can help the viewer focus on the main subject without any distractions.
