Film critic and screenwriter once said: “No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough.” This sums up the wide range of movies that are produced each year. However, Bollywood have given us some such movies that go beyond this known spectrum.
They are not the movies that leave you wanting more or the ones that make you roll your eyes in frustration. These movies are such that will make you cringe. Sitting through the whole movie will turn out to be a challenge and the only logical act is walking out.
Take a look at some of them:
No, we are not talking about the one that came out in 1983 but the one released in 2013. The official remake of the old film is a real torture to watch. This movie starring Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah Bhatia is a revenge story plot so poorly executed that it will give you nothing but the regret of watching it.
Released in 2012 this was the movie that would have been the launchpad for Rani Mukerji to re-enter Bollywood. It is hard to believe that an actress who has awed us with her spellbound acting in ‘Black,’ delivers such a performance that is indigestible. The plot is about a Marathi girl falling for a Tamil guy. Supposedly a slapstick comedy, it fails miserably with a ridiculous storyline and overacting.
Indian film industry is lagging behind in terms of science fiction movies. The franchise of ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ ended with a bad third part. Naturally, you will expect the next filmmaker to come up with a better Sci-fi movie. Instead, you are handed Joker. The story follows a world-famous scientist who leaves America to visit his village in India that doesn’t exist on the physical map. Soon to save the place he creates a hoax of aliens visiting. So terrible would be an understatement for this movie. Filled with illogical shots and poor camera work, you will be glad if you haven’t watched it.
4. Lovestory 2050
Talking about science fiction, here is another film that simply breaks all the records of worst films. A Hrithik look-alike in the lead gives you hope that there will be some acting too. However, once you start seeing the film all your expectations will come crashing down. The movie is about a guy who goes to the future to meet the reincarnated version of his lost love. Accompanied by forgettable music and poor graphics this film is a disaster.
You will certainly be tempted to use this word on those who produced and directed this film. Filled with sexual innuendos this is probably one of the worst performances by national award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut. This comedy of David Dhawan can only be considered as a mistake he regrets. The storyline of the movie is loosely based on 1988 movie ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.’
There are so many cringe-worthy moments in this film that you will lose count. A non-existing storyline that revolves around a ‘matlabi ladki’ and his estranged lover set out to find her with a serial killer. By the end, the movie confidently loses its plot along with any sense of music or acting.
7. Chandni Chowk to China
You will loudly thank the lord almighty that the sequel to this movie got shelved. The first part stars Akshay Kumar as a vegetable cutter who eventually reaches China and discovers he is the reincarnation of an old legendary hero. Even the double role of skilled actress Deepika Padukone fails to save this movie. It’s an absolute disaster that is better left unwatched.
8. Good Boy Bad Boy
Well, the only thing good about this movie is for those who never watched it. This is a phenomenally bad movie that is supposedly the remake of a movie called ‘Class Act.’
There are three main characters in the movie who plays three roles each. You will get dragged into the world of insanity and obscene mediocrity as the film progresses. This Sajid Khan directed movie is a big regret for everyone who has acted in it.
10. Kambakkht Ishq
When huge budget meets stinky storyline then you get this movie. This Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starer movie is ridiculously absurd. Even the guest appearances from some of the biggest Hollywood stars including Sylvester Stallone couldn’t save this movie.
11. Himesh Reshammiya
He has done seven movies till now and they compete with each other to be considered as the worst. We are not joking! As the saying goes “too many cooks spoil the broth,” the same is the case with Himesh Reshammiya. He is not a bad music director but his singing and acting are as worse as it can get.
