Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of convicted rapist Gurmeet Singh has been in hiding ever since her ‘papa’ was jailed. Police from seven states have been on the look out for her. Haryana police named her as one of the 43 most wanted as she is charged of inciting violence in the states of Haryana and Punjab on the day Ram Rahim was convicted for raping two women.
But Honeypret has now come out of hiding and India Today conducted an exclusive interview with her. In the interview, she said that she has no contribution in violence that took shape in Haryana and Punjab upon the conviction of Gurmeet Singh.
On being asked about how was she able to travel with Ram Rahim in the chopper in which he was taken to prison after judgement by the court, she said:
“I want to ask, how can a girl, without necessary permissions, enter the court in the middle of so much security personnel, and be with her father?”

“You have seen the situation yourself. Where am I guilty? I was fulfilling the responsibility of a daughter. I went to the court with my father like every daughter or family member would. Where have you seen me speaking? Have you seen or heard me saying anything? I had gone their happily thinking that we will bring our father back in the evening. When she faced all that happened in the court, mind stopped working.”
On being questioned about her alleged illicit relationship with her guru and father Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Honeypreet said,
“The relationship between a father and daughter is so pure. I am not able to understand how one can malign a relationship between a father and a daughter. To all those who are maligning my relationship with papaji, I want to ask, what proof have you got that you’re accusing me of having illicit affair with my father?”
Upon the mention of Vishwas Gupta and close aides of Dera, she said that she does not want to talk about it. She further said that she wasn’t hiding from the police but doing as she was being guided and has no knowledge of the law, and was taken aback by her father’s conviction. There is a lot more that Honeypreet said in the interview, the complete video of which can be watched here.
