You thought your days of being made to feel insecure by Barbie were over? Ha! Sociality Barbie on Instagram has been living life to the fullest and photographing every thing she does. While she’s doing that, she also manages to make fun of the sociality culture. The woman behind the account is a wedding photographer from Portland, Oregan, who prefers to remain anonymous. “People were all taking the same pictures in the same places and using the same captions,” she says. “I couldn’t tell any of their pictures apart so I thought, ‘What better way to make my point than with a mass-produced doll?’”
“I get it, it’s pretty to look at,” she added. “But it’s so dishonest. Nobody actually lives like this. And it’s so overdone that it’s becoming boring.”
