Hazel Keech marked her debut in the world of Indian entertainment industry back in 2007 with Tamil film ‘Billa’ in which she performed an item number. And since then, she has been seen in quite a few television commercials. The supporting role in ‘Bodyguard’ came to her as her stepping stone in Bollywood films. A couple of years later, she appeared in the seventh season of television reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ but was the first one to get eliminated.
Despite a good amount of work she had done in the Indian entertainment industry, she was a rather lesser known figure in India until she appeared with Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh on a number of occasions. Eventually, the two got married in 2016 and Hazel Keech adopted the name Gurbasant Kaur.
Now, Hazel Keech has been a part of the Indian entertainment industry for quite a long time. But still, there is something about her that a large section of people doesn’t know.
Hazel Keech is a British-Mauritian model who came to India with the dream of making it big in Bollywood. But even before she plunged into Bollywood, she had been a part of some big Hollywood projects.
Interestingly, Yuvraj Singh’s wife has worked in three Harry Potter films and this is one trivia about Hazel Keech that many people do not know.
Yes! Hazel Keech has shared screen alongside Harry, Hermoine, and Ron in ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’, ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’ and ‘The Goblet of Fire’.
While she was not in the main lead but one of those extras that can be seen in the background, but the fact that she has been a part of three blockbuster Hollywood films cannot be denied.
Describing her experience of working on the sets of Harry Potter films in an interview, Hazel Keech said,
“It was so amazing. They are so professional in the west. And it’s like they take details so seriously. They have teachers and tutors because kids under 16 have to do their lessons and bring in their homework. For each child, they would have a Polaroid to make sure that your hair and makeup were exactly the same. Even the capes that we wore that had inner pockets for wand and broom. I was loving it. Everyone was so respecting. And everyone was happy to be a part of that project. I can easily say this was the best experience of my professional career.”
BTW, did you notice her in any of the Harry Potter films?
