In what seemed like a slip of tongue, Haryana Minister Manish Grover said those having black money need not worry as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is standing with them.
And not only PM Modi, he said Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar is also standing with them.
Watch the video:
Earlier this year, Sports Minister Vijay Goyal faced flak for when he referred to Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu as ‘gold medallists’, even though they’d won bronze and silver respectively. Goel, however, called it a slip of tongue and said people should not make an issue out of it.
Likewise, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh had referred to PoK as “India-occupied Kashmir” while criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s utterances on Pakistan. The Congress General Secretary later clarified that Kashmir is a part of India and that he only meant that Modi is not worried about “India’s Kashmir but worried about Pak-occupied Kashmir”.
Similarly, Congress president Sonia Gandhi had earlier this year accused the UPA government of not doing anything in the past two years. Sonia was apparently referring to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government.
Surely, whatever Grover has said is certain to bring embarrassment to the BJP and Haryana government.
