A lot of discussion about the biased award function took place soon after the Filmfare awards. Amaal Mallik posted a powerful post on his Facebook page talking about the hypocrisy of the award functions. Later, it was Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan Kapoor, who made his debut in the movie ‘Mirzya’.

Harshvardhan Kapoor lashed out at the Filmfare jury as he didn’t get the Filmfare award in the best debut category. Instead, Diljit Dosanjh won this award. To this, Harshvardhan Kapoor said…

I won every award except Filmfare. Some awards have a jury and they decide. Some have a popular vote. I don’t know how they decided this year. I think debutant awards should be for people who are relatively new to films. Otherwise, it is like saying I have done 100 English films and now I am doing a Hindi film so I am a debutant. So if Leonardo Di Caprio wins an Oscar and then comes to do a Bollywood movie, he is a debutant which is not something I agree with.

Twitterati didn’t like Harshvadhan’s post claiming that he deserved the best debut Filmfare award and not Diljit Dosanjh. Tweeple even trolled him and called him self-righteous and entitled.

To this Harshvardhan again vented out his anger through a tweet explaining his honesty and proving that he do not follow the crowd and believe in expressing himself.

After this word war, a Filmfare editor has taken a sly dig on Harshvardhan Kapoor. Apart from retweeting the tweets that trolled Harshvardhan Kapoor, She even said that the newcomers are not talented enough to claim such awards…

Harshvardhan couldn’t tolerate the editor’s tweet and boldly asked her to take his name…

Twitter became the battleground for ‘Mirzya’ and Harvardhan started shooting tweets one after the another in anger…

The fight is getting uglier and Harshvardhan is not able to accept the fact that he hasn’t won the Filmfare award. But what is your opinion?
