In today’s world, millennials are running away from their 9 to 5 desk jobs and are seeking for fresh and creative ideas to develop their own enterprise. No doubt that start-up culture is flourishing but many business models have reached a dead end too. So, how can we increase the success rate?
Hence, with the purpose to guide, educate and uplift the aspiring minds, Hans Raj College organised an entrepreneurship summit ‘Illuminate’ on October 3 and October 4. In this event, business leaders from different fields like entertainment, e-commerce etc shared their struggles and learning with the students.
Some of the successful entrepreneurs who were part of this program are Paavan Nanda (Co-founder, Zo Rooms and Zostel), Mr. Keshav Bansal (Director, Intex), Sanjay Basin (CEO, Goibibo) and Shaili Chopra (founder, SheThePeople.TV)
During the interactive session, Paavan Nanda, (Co-founder, Zo Rooms and Zostel) said:
“You need to really understand your target audience and understand what your product is and if you base your business model on these two things, it is bound to work.”
Mr. Keshav Bansal, the youngest owner of the IPL team, motivated everyone by telling his personal journey:
“I had that keeda in me ki actor banna hai. Maybe I still have it. Entrepreneurship runs in the blood of Marvadi. Loading boxes in the warehouse was my first job because I wanted to learn my way up. Whenever Sachin Tendulkar meets me, he always says the same thing, ‘Keshav, do what your heart says, do what you love to. I am a rebel. Mazaa aata hai jab challenge hai, usko opportunity banake aage badhte hai.”
Now we know why Intex is one of the fastest growing companies in India.
