Dr. Pramod Agrawal Goldi is fond of collecting special number notes and was doing it for 40 years.
He collected notes to make it to the world record.
His collection includes notes ending with numbers such as ‘420’ and ‘786.’ He has 34 misprint note, 2202 ‘786’ notes and 2746 notes that end with ‘420’. He also has 800 notes of group number 0101 to 9999.
He had send his official form of consideration to Guinness Book Record in May 2016, but his dreams were shattered when PM Modi announced the demonetisation move on November 8 and banned Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes.
The announcement rendered Rs.500 and 1000 notes worth Rs 7 lakh as invalid.
Though the note ban has added to his worries as a collector, the importance of his collection of such notes has not faded away. Of course, these notes are now of historical value.
Besides notes, Goldi also has the hobby of collecting autographs and photographs. He has 2000 autographs and 20,000 photographs!
